Ich habe nicht so viel gepostet wie ich wollte, aber es war soviel los und ich bin auch nur ein Mensch...

Also, nicht genug, dass ich für ganz viele liebe Menschen nähen durfte, ich hatte am 14.11. auch meinen ersten Markt mit merryBe (Designgipfel) für den ich viel nähen wollte-
Schritt 1. Wollte wohlgemerkt, denn nacheinander machten beide Nähmaschinen Mucken (und die Katze war auch noch krank). Das führte quasi aus dem Bauch heraus zu einer weitreichenden Entscheidung: ich habe eine neue Nähmaschine gekauft!
Ich liebe mein Husquarna wirklich sehr, aber seit der letzten Reparatur war sie nicht mehr ganz die Alte, Fadenspannung und Stichlänge bedurften ständiger Aufmerksamkeit und lieferten mir nicht mehr das Ergebnis, was ich mir für meine Produkte wünsche. Und auf längere Sicht konnte ich einfach auch einer Stichbreite von 9mm nicht wiederstehen...hier ist sie also, meine Neue:

I didn’t post as much as I wanted to during my „vacation“, but I’m only human...There was lot of sewing for you guys in the past few weeks and I also wanted to prepare some special things for my first live sale. Wanted, note, because both my sewing machines gave me troubles (and the cat got sick again). That led me to the spontaneous purchase of a new sewing machine.
I really love my Husquarna, but since the last repair she hasn’t been the same, tension and stitch length became pretty unreliable and did not give me the results I want for my products anymore. And I couldn’t resist the temptations of a 9mm stitch width forever anyway...so here she is, tha new one:




Ich habe den Sprung über 40 Jahre Nähmaschinen-Technik recht unbeschadet überstanden, denke ich. Obwohl ich die Lady noch lange nicht durchschaut habe...

I made the leap over 40 years of sewing machine technology quite gracefully, I think. Still, it will take me some time to figure that lady out...

Und der dritte Schritt: wir haben geheiratet. Keine Photos, keine Feier, der Tag war nur für uns, und es war sehr schön. Die Flittertage habe ich mit einer fiesen Erkältung im Bett verbracht, mit karger ein-Wort-Kommunikation mit dem frischgebackenen Ehemann („Tee!“, „Wärmflasche! etc.).

And the third step: we got married. Just like that, no photos, no party, just us, and it was a perfect day. I spent the honeydays in bed though, with a bad cold, feebly conversing in one-word-sentences („tea!“, „hotwaterbottle!“) so bear with me when the next few days will be a bit slow.

Ein wenig muss ich noch feilen, damit alles so sitzt wie ich es möchte. Und dann gibt es sie in verschiedenen Ausführungen, als Budget-Gamasche und natürlich zum Wenden und was mir sonst noch so einfällt. Auf jeden Fall sehr anschmiegsam und super zum Verschenken!

A little more fine-tuning to get the fit just right and then they’ll be in the shop: a budget version, a reversible version, of course, and whatever else I can think of. All very adjustable and a great gift!
